MilkSense is a breastfeeding monitoring device that provides real-time insight into how much milk a baby consumes during feeding.
By turning a natural but uncertain process into measurable data, it gives mothers greater confidence and control.

Breastfeeding is a natural experience, yet many mothers are left unsure whether their baby is receiving enough milk.
This lack of visibility can lead to stress and uncertainty, especially during the early stages of parenting.
Our challenge was to translate advanced sensing technology into a simple and reliable product that fits seamlessly into everyday use.
We developed MilkSense as a compact device that measures changes in electrical signals within the breast before and after feeding, providing a quantitative result in milliliters within seconds.
The product was designed for one-handed use, allowing mothers to operate it comfortably while holding their baby. Its form adapts to different body types, ensuring consistent contact and accurate measurement.
A clear display provides immediate feedback, making it easy to understand results in real time.
The system integrates moisture-responsive electrodes and a flexible internal structure that adapts to varying pressure, ensuring both comfort and measurement reliability.

MilkSense introduces a new level of clarity to breastfeeding by making milk intake measurable.
It reduces uncertainty, supports informed decision-making, and improves the overall experience for mothers during a critical stage of early parenting.
